Logans Baptism

Logan turned 8 on Wednesday, and do you know what that means? Baptism! He was so excited all week, and looked so handsome in his new suit. Logan had asked Cameron (through a note since he was too embarrassed to ask) to speak at his baptism. Cameron did great, especially when he mentioned to Logan which rock stars have been baptized, how cute is that? Logan in such a ROCK STAR!

All of the kids sang at the baptism, even Dylan. It was very cute and special for Logan.Aww, look at our little Mount Family. It is quite impossible to get a picture of all of us, especially when all four are looking. This is the best we could get. A day at the soccer field

This last week Auntie Coco came to visit during her spring break. Here we are at Maddie Mounts soccer game. Maddie scored 2 of the 4 goals, and they won! Way to go Maddie!

Coco met Casey Mount for the first time. Isn't he a cutie? He is only three months old.G-mama loving up on Syd. She is actually sitting still for once. Mama and CC. Look at those pig tails, love them!
Dylan couldn't decide if he wanted to sit next to his family, or off by the boys playing soccer across the field. He kept dragging his spiderman chair everywhere, it was funny watching him keep setting it up and taking it down after about 2 minutes.

Grammers April Craft Project

Look at these great windsocks that Dylan and I made yesterday while Syd was napping. My mom recently decided that she wanted to set up a monthly craft project for her grandchildren. She sends the directions at the beginning of the month, and then I get to talk to her about it and show her the finishing project here on my blog. What a great system. I love you mom! So here is our first project, windsocks. They turned out great...we made two because we had so much fun doing them! What a great idea mom!

Reading Rainbow

It has been a while since my last post, my life just seems to be super busy these days. Here is the latest book that Dylan is reading all the way through...how he memorizes is amazing to me. It is called Easy Street and is about making a street of course (the end is easier to understand that the beginning, I wanted to put subtitles on but coudln't figure it out). Take note that his clothes are on backwards and inside out. Dylan is going through the stage where he HAS to get himself dressed without any help, (I let him wear it like that around the house until we have to leave in which case he FREAKS out). I Love three year olds!



I love that Dylan enjoys reading and books. When I lay him down for a nap I like to sit next to the door and listen to him read or make up words to the books he is looking at. It is so cute. He has such an imagination these days. The other day we were at McDonalds play land and I heard him on the slide with a kid saying "guess what was at my house today?....a dinosaur.....roarrrrrr". The kid was about two years older and just looked at him like he was crazy. The funny thing is that Dylan kept following him and repeating himself over and over because he just wanted a reaction from the boy. It was hilarious.

On another note, Sydney is walking up a storm these days. Her balance is getting much better and she goes back and forth between people. Every now and then I will catch her out of the corner of my eye let go of something and start walking. I am amazed at her bravery and how often she stops and lets herself sit down (rather than falling right over...her balance is getting so great!). Here is her last week with G-mama and G-papa...she is a bit better this week, but I likes this video. Oh, and listen close for one of Dylan's daily tantrums, don't you wish you lived at my house?

D's First crush

Every Thursday night some of Cameron's friends from work come over to watch The Office, (speaking of which, last weeks KGB episode was one of the best ever!). Anyway, last night one of the girls brought her daughter along to play with Dylan, and it was love at first sight for Dylan. He has played with a lot of kids, but he was loving all over her. He was holding her hand while taking her from toy to toy, hugging all over her, and he even was loving her painting his finger and toenails..."Calling Mr. Mike?!" I have never seen him play so well, he even walked her out the door like a gentleman. It was very sweet.

Just a thought...

My sister recently sent me some essays out of Anne Lemott's book titled Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith and I loved them so much that thought I would share one of my favorite quotes from the book. This quote comes from my favorite essay was called "Traveling Mercies" about serindipity, destiny, fate, etc. I loved it because it made me think about life and how when so many things go wrong in our lives we tend to think we are on the wrong path, when really, we are exactly where we need to be. She wrote, "When a lot of things start going wrong all at once, it is to protect something big and lovely that is trying to get itself born-and that this something needs for you to be distracted so that it can be born as perfectly as possible."

CC walks!

Check out my baby girl, she is walking! My favorite part is that she has to warm up by walking the couch back and forth before letting go. It rocks! She was doing this all day today and I couldn't get enough of it. Sydney takes about 5-8 steps and then falls....just a few more weeks of this and she will be a walking champ! It's so amazing to see these little babes grow, it brings tears to my eyes.
