My Little Superhero

I walked in D's room to turn off his light tonight and this is how I found him.
Superman cape + spiderman hat= my very own little superhero.

Talking Monkeys

I overheard Dylan in the bathroom saying, "hey monkeys, why do you need to go to the Dr?...Oh because your leg is broken and you are sick?...Oh, ok." Here are the monkeys of whom he was speaking to:When I asked Dylan who he was talking to, he said sternly as if I were the crazy person, "my monkey's mommy...I talk to them everyday!"

Dylan's Room

Dylan's room is done! We originally wanted to move Sydney in with Dylan, (hence the girlie flowery bottom bunk), but as you can see, that didn't end up happening. Syd needed her own space to move around and I think by the time she would move in with D, he would want his own space. So alas, he moved downstairs in to the guest bedroom. Sorry folks, the king bed is gone. We still want you to come and visit, but we have an air mattress for you instead, and there are two twins right there for you to enjoy as well (since we could move Dylan upstairs during your visit).

Note: The Starry night painting is the one that my mom painted for our wedding Starry Night table. (We had theme tables at our wedding...tacky? Maybe. Fun? Most Definitely!)
I used to want to paint fun stripes and different fun walls, but when all is said and done, doing anything with three kids has been almost impossible. I am just lucky these rooms look somewhat put together and all the kids stuff is finally out of my living room. One more room to go. It's the pink room...I am trying to figure out a way to get away from painting it again...hummm. Stay tuned.

Macey's Room

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have decided to change the kids sleeping situation. Syd is nowhere near ready to move into Dylan's room which has meant putting Macey and Dylan into the same room. This has become a problem since the bedroom is too small to put the changing table and rocker in there. So, we have decided to move Dylan downstairs so that each of the kids have rooms of their own space to sleep. WE NEED SLEEP! Dylan loves it down there, and now that we finally have a new TV, we are down there a lot. It has become out new living space, I love it! So here is Macey's room finished! Yay! Elaine and I made the chair cover (lets be honest, I stood while she sewed). And I made the decoupaged Macey name. Cute eh? I think it works! I love Purple...it makes me so happy. This has now become my own little reading nook. What do you think?

"Go to sleep ya little baby..."

Day 12 of Sydney refusing to sleep in her bed

A couple of weeks ago Sydney decided it was time to work on her jungle gym skills and she has been climbing out of her crib ever since. This has to be one of my least favorite phases in child rearing. Syd is nowhere near ready to be out of her crib, but if she broke her arm falling off of a bed, then what will she break falling out of a crib? Grr. It is a constant battle puttiong kids to bed at night, keeping them there, and then dealing with them mid morning. And napping...wow...that is a whole nother (yes nother) story. Ugh.

Lets just say, Sydney has an odd way of sleeping these days. It's the "grab everything within arms reach, huck it at the door, then pass out on top of it" approach. Not only this, but she is also waking up around 3 am and refusing to go back to bed. I will wake up to feed Macey around 2:45 to here Syd's brushes, dolls, books, etc being thrown against the door. Doesn't this sound like so much fun? Who wants to sleep at my house?
