Vitiligo

As if Sydney doesn't have enough to worry about, she has just been diagnosed with Vitiligo, or as we know it, the Michael Jackson skin disease. My poor girl is just getting a raw deal.  I feel so terrible for her, but I am hopeful that with early intervention we can stop the spreading and hopefully bring back some pigment.

Here is a picture of the front of her legs (she was asleep).  You can see that the spots have taken over her knees, and ankle.  She also has a bunch behind her knees, elbows, torso, and with a black light you can see them appearing on her eyes...hopefully we can stop those before they become obvious:
vit·i·li·go/ˌvītlˈīgō/

Noun:
A condition in which the pigment is lost from areas of the skin, causing whitish patches, often with no clear cause.

oh my gosh! I am so sorry to hear this. Seriously, you are right, doesn't she have enough...Paul's grandpa had that and I keep waiting for it to hit someone in Paul's family. Is it genetic?
