"Pushing Logs"
So, It has been a week since we have used diapers during the daytime and he now, is truly, officially potty trained. The other day he ran out of the bathroom screaming, "I pushed many logs mommy", (thanks for the terminology daddy), and when he has to goes number one he locks me out of the bathroom. It is pretty funny. He is such a big boy!

Introducing the next Vincent Van Gogh...
Ok, I have to tell this cute quick story. I was giving the kids a bath last week and Sydney of course doesn't stop moving. She just kept bouncing up and down in the bath and making waves for Dylan's boat (he didn't like that). After a few times of him saying, "stop CC", "PLEASE STOP CC", he finally yells out, "Are you kidding me CC?"
Where does he get that? It couldn't possibly be me could it?

Fun way of saying THANK YOU!
Ok so I have never been real excited about being tagged, but yesterday's and today's blog tags are just too good to pass up. I received this tag from my oh so funny cousin sus and it made me really want in on it. These last two months my life has been a whirlwind and I have had so many people to thank for getting me through it (its still not all over, so I am thanking in advance too). So I want to say thanks for making my life so much better and being a part of my blogging experience.
This tag game involves a few of my favorite things: handmade goods, creativity, and gift-giving. So, without further ado, here are the tagging instructions:
The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It’ll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it’s going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog.
The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!
Good luck!

Where did the two of you meet?
I think I was about 8 when I truly met Cameron for the first time. I had probably seen him around church before then, but it wasn't until I was 8 that my sister and he had become great friends and she brought him around. That is when my crush began. What was the first thought that went through your head when you first met him?
Um probably, I heart you. I do remember writing that on my binder at one point in time.
Do you remember what he was wearing?
Most likely some old t-shirt and jeans. He had braces back then too, ooh sexy.
Where did you go for your first date?
This is cute. I was still in High School and Cameron came home from UCLA three different times (over a span of a few months) to ask me out. Sadly, each time he came back he found out that I was dating someone different. So, when things finally ended between the last guy and I, Cameron found out, and came two weeks later to call and ask me out. At that point he called my house, and asked me what I was doing that night. I said, "I don't know, what are you doing tonight?" He said, "I am taking you to dinner and a movie". He was so suave :). You have to understand, this was a dream come true for me. I had a crush on Cameron for years, so of course after hanging up the phone I screamed and jumped up and down with my friend Jackie for about ten min. It felt so surreal.
We ended up going to a restaurant on state street called State and A. After we walked around state street and ended up and blockbuster only to rent a Hichcock movie called Rope. It was a good night.
Where was the first time you kissed?
We kissed on our first date about 7 hours after I told him (while driving to dinner), "as much as I have wanted this for so long, I'm really not ready to get into another relationship right now." HA! It was all downhill from there. When he dropped me off at home he leaned in for the kiss and no joke, his foot revved the engine. It was classic.
When was the first time you realized you liked him?
First time I saw him with my brother and sister.
How long did you know him before you became a couple?
Um I guess since I was 8 so that would be about 10 years.
How did he propose to you?
Ooh this is a good one, they have shown it a few times on Good Morning America. The year Cams volleyball team won the National Championship they were asked to be announced at the Oregon State vs. UCLA game at halftime. So, at halftime all the boys come walking in a line up to my seat holding roses in thier hands. Cameron who was last grabbed me and walked me out onto the floor at which point the men all took their shirts off which read, "Brit I love you", then they turned around, "will you..." then they scattered and turned again, "marry me?" It was very sweet and so us! These were all our buddies and Allan (cam's bro) of course was on the team too, so it meant a lot that they were all a part of it.
Do you have kids together?
Yes, we have two beautimous kiddos!
Have you ever broken the law together?
Um, while we were backpacking Europe we broke a few "no tresspassing" signs to cop up a tent and sleep, or uh, just to trespass and see some beautiful sights. "Oopsy Daisiey's".Do you trust him?
Yes ma'am. Well, with the important things anyway. It pretty much goes through one ear and out the other when he says he going to do the dishes or something like that. (He does them all the time, just not when I bug him and he tells me in that voice, "I'll do it today.")
Do you see him as your partner in your future?
Of course. We would be lost without each other. Even with the bickering part.
What is the best gift he gave you?
Aside from my two beautiful children, and his never ending emotional support. The best tangible gift that I ever received from him was a book of Shakespeare sonnets with one of his own written for me on the cover page. So romantic!
What is one thing he does that gets on your nerves?
Oh sus, really, Can’t really think of anything? I dont believe you. Lets think, It drives me nuts when we are out together and he gets on the phone (almost always with Allan). That is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, (hence the reason why so many people get mad that I don't answer their calls right away, I don't talk while I am out with people, I think it is rude).
Where do you see each other 15 years from now?
Sitting on the sidelines watching our three kids playing sports and having fun. We will be happy and more in love than ever. Oh, and we will be world travelers!
What causes the most arguments?
Money. The tone in which we speak. And probably more than anything, our kids. It not that they cause the argument, its that we both get so stressed with them (usually Syd's crying) that we just lose patience and start snapping at each other. I totally understand why so many people get divorced after kids are born, they make life so enjoyable, but sooo much harder at the same time. The screaming, we just can't take anymore screaming!
How long have you been together?
Going on 9 years. Wow that went by fast. I was such a baby when we first started dating and got married. Crazy!
Who Do you Tag?
Um...I will tag two of my best girlfriends Katie and Anneli, two of my inlaws Angela and Shar, and of course my father in law, Big Jim.
"It's a beautiful day"
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
It a beautiful day"
U2's words have come to mind these last two days as I have come to terms with what is going on with my baby, and because she has been doing so much better. I woke up, opened all the blinds this morning and was ready for a brand new day. Sydney has been seizure free since Monday morning...WOOHOOO! She is almost completely back to her normal self. These new meds are working great, and giving me a new sense of hope (especially considering that she might be on them for the rest of her life). Sydney has also been sleeping and eating again. It's is a miracle!
She still in on for her EEG on the 19th which will hopefully give us some more anwers. As for now, her seizures are finally under control, and her personality is back to being as fun and happy as it used to be. Lets hope this all lasts! Hallelujah!

The Bachelor...Take 2

Ok so tonight my favorite man on the planet decided to come home and do Sydney giving me an hour of alone time....(Look I am seeing the positive!!!) (These days with Syd falling asleep at midnight and waking up every 45 min, there is NO alone time...not even when it come to using the bathroom...Syd is so NEEDY I can't stand it!). So I decided to watch the bachelor (fast forwarding since it was two hours and i just wanted to get to the end), and oh has my opinion changed since my last post. I love this season, it very well might be my favorite ever. I just LOVE everyone on it. Jason is so cute and the women are fantastic!
First off, lets talk about last week. His not handing out the last rose was so pimp. I was so glad that he didn't keep any of those girls. They just made every date awkward, and I loved that he knew that and did something about it. I was so on his side last week after that happened. As for this week, I do have to say that it was only a matter of time that Stephanie was going to be kicked off the show, there was no real connection from the start. But, just as he stated in his speech, (which was so classy), she was amazing and they were all better people after having met her. She might have been the sweetest contestant ever, and I really enjoyed watching her and all of the women together. Bravo ABC, and good luck Steph!
Oh and I have to ask, did I miss the episode where Dianna came back? They advertised it but I never saw it...which episode was that? I can't believe I missed it.
